netto null
The construction of the residential building on the Schliengerweg is an opportunity to develop an overall circular strategy for the current and future housing stock in Baselstadt. With this ambition we want to reduce the environmental impact to a minimum not only by using reused materials, but also by applying adaptable and reversible systems with scalable principles. We propose a building that complies with the current constraints and context, while at the same time being able to adapt to new conditions in the future. We want to pay attention to flexibility in order to respond to new models of living and working, with different layouts and demands. And we do this using adaptable system solutions for architectural elements, built with reversible and low-tech connections. Through a rational stacking of structural elements we search for the minimum to be built, structure, communication core and envelope package, and the maximum adaptable, being the façade finish, the technical installations and the interior wall finishes.
